Difference in Injection pumps? for 7.3 turbo diesel? - Diesel Forum

Is there a difference in injection pumps for the 7.3L turbo diesel? I've seem a couple different places list 2 possible pumps for my 94' 7.3 turbo diesel. One is a DB2 5069 and the other is DB2 5070. Oregon Fuel Systems lists the 5069 for a E40D and the 5070 for a standard transmission. However, anyone that I've talked to says the 5069 does not come with the throttle position sensor lever for the automatic tranny and you have to take it off of your pump and remount it on the new one.

It this is so, then why is there two different models for the application?

Well if you have the one with no TPS/FIPL at all there is a bit of hardware you need to get on the pump that holds it on and makes it work. You can't really just strap on the TPS without that hardware. So, I'd say the only difference is probably the TPS on the pump or not.

The throttle shaft is probably longer on the E4OD ip and maybe some other stuff on that side.
