Re: door hinge

You can get the little plastic thingy form Ford. It is an easy fix, but you will have to remove the offending hinge to replace it. I use a floor juck to hold the bottom of the door while removing the hinge.

Re: door hinge

I just cut the pins out and replaced them in place without removing the hinges this way I did not have to screw arround with re aligning the door. The new pin kit sells for about $5 at autozone in the HELP parts area. Prop the door up, cut the pins, remove pieces, install pin kit, done. My daughter and I did it in about an hour.

Re: door hinge

I agree No drilling just pins and clips. NAPA should have the same Kit that I used. Red package with white letters if I remember right says HELP on it.

Re: door hinge

I cut the pin in the hinge and pried the pieces apart the drove them out with a hammer. Next swing the door out from the truck and replace bushings swing door back and install pins.

Re: door hinge

Ok thats basically what I done but I just removed the clips on my pins and drove them out removed the door replaced bushings put it all back I guess what they mean when they say they didn't take the door off was they just didn't ubolt the hinges but they still removed the door far enough to replace bushings
