got up to dallas yesterday to pick up a 02 f350 my dad just bought. we thought we would take the old idi and give her a run since she hasnt seen a good long drive. we are pulling a 18' car haller so we can test the pulling power. well we get 3 miles from the deailer we bought the truck fron and the light sarts flashing. so the language comes and we continue. load the truck up and head back to houston. in the morning we pull the codes with the scanner and this is what is tells us:
62
Transaxle problem - 4/3 or 3/2 pressuer switch circuit failed closed.
Problem 1
Problem 2
now bout 3 years ago we had the tc replaced. and in the past year and a half when ever you press on the throttle someting on the drive train raddles. sounds like a grinding but that is only when gaining speed. or when it is luged. it starts doing this above 30 mph.
could the grinding problem what caused this code and also where is the pressuer stitch located?
Thanks for the help Anthony

If the grinding disappears it is converter clutch noise. Sometimes it's described as clicking and rattling. New design converter clutch has a fix to prevent it. If you have grinding or rattling non stop, sounds like marbles--too late. It has enough play to rub full time.
