E4OD to ZF5 Swap.....Done

I just wanted to thank everyone that provided input when I was in the planning stages of the transmission swap. Thanks to everyone's help I was able to gather up all the correct parts before starting the job, and everything fit correctly.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the deed is done....and I gotta say, I can't believe the difference the 5-speed has made...the driving "fun factor" is completely off scale.....

BTW...If anbody is interested in a used E4OD and nearly all the goodies that go with it, check the "for sale" section.

I am also doing the swap and have just a few things to pin down like the electronics of the neutral safety switch and the transfer case shifter and the shift boot.

My truck became significantly quicker when I switched to the 5 speed how about yours?

What did you end up doing with the electrical? I haven't gone any further than plugging in the old shift position sensor since the truck is just sitting in my backyard as I do body work.

Re: E4OD to ZF5 Swap.....Done

My truck didnt get faster just yet. I have noticed that I must need to bleed the clutch master/slave cylinder a little bit more. I get a little KACHUNK into almost every gear and especially 2nd gear unless I dont use 1st at all.
Once I get that done though I can tell it will be better and faster. I do know that I love the fact that whatever gear I put it into the thing stays in that gear
I wish I could get home from work before dark so I could get that done without getting brake fluid in the eyeball

Even with the KACHUNK it is better to drive already!
