Hi Guys My son just told me that the engine light comes on when he stops fast or when he backing up and hits the brake and when he stops and puts it in park. but not all the time? I did a search on the form but found nothing like whats happening here. 88 f250 super cab 7.3 idi 108000km on her.

Maybe low on oil. The lite is activated on low oil pressure or high coolant temp of 242 degrees. The temp sender goes bad too. Its found in the front area of the drivers side head. You can remove it and the dash gage will still work for the coolant temp. The high temp switch wont work then... All it does is ground the syatem and peg the dash gage when the lite comes on.

oil is fine changed it last week oil and filter still full but what I've found is i have a small fuel leek at the fuel filter bottom were the water drain valve is an it moves around a lot I've been having stall after start when its been sitting over night but starts every time when its hot. What to do about the engine light going on & off?
