Ok boys, I have a factory duel set up on my Canadian 92 1/2. The question is now that being my exhaust needs some work, do I stay with the duels or go to a 3 or 4 inch single? It has duel 2.25 right now with a factory set of mufflers.

I'm guessing your na. The choice is completely up to you, it doesn't matter much either way. You would be better off with straight through mufflers though.

If your NA I would run a 3". I got rid of duals on my truck and went to a 3" and gained alot of bottom end. I ran it through a Dynomax diesel muffler, sound really good nice and deep. The exhaust shop I talked to said they didnt get any more power from a 4" it just cost more and is harder to install. My opinon is dual exhaust makes power on top end and works well on gas engines for top end power. I feel and have been told that a big single makes more torque. Good luck hope this helps

I'm pretty sure my truck is Canadian with single exhuast too. Do you have the amidship (forward) aux fuel tank? How do you run your passenger pip w/out crossing the frame rail if you do have the aux tank? I'm curious for myself.

what he said.
is your dual set-up a true dual? no Y-pipe? mufflers? if so, are both pipes running down the passenger side?
regardless, my method of duals here.

Well fellas, yes, it is duel and that is the way it came from the dealer. No Y pipe, both pipes are on the passenger side and exit the ass end of the truck. If it is not stock, then I guess someone change it on us as we drove back from B.C. where my uncle bought the truck new in 92.
