Fuel Filter Heater Removal
The heater on my truck has been leaking at the top of the mounting bracket. Probably from the o-ring. As I live in the Southern part of the country I don't really need it anyway. I've read a couple members have removed this. I have mine apart to remove the heating elemet. There is a wire atached to a metal plate. Do I remove the whole plate or just cut the wire from it and leave the plate installed? I'm afraid the plate might serve as some type of baffle and without it maybe too much fuel will flow toward the injector pump? I don't know.
