Fuel Filter / Water Seperator conversion

I did a search for this and didnt find anything. I have a 93 F-350 IDI non-turbo. I want to change the the existing fuel filter from the flow thru with the bottom cap to a one piece filter. wondering if anyone has done this and has any info. Thanks in advance.

Henry

Re: Fuel Filter / Water Seperator conversion

Wix and others have the ones with the drain spigot on the bottom of the filter...... WIX 33617 or a Baldwin BF 1222-SP they have one that you can put the WIF sender in too and still use it.

WIX 33617 (NAPA 3617) is a 1-piece filter with a drain and sensor port. I switched mine over and it's great, no more leaks.

Re: Fuel Filter / Water Seperator conversion

Henry, The 33617 is what I use. Make sure you have the sensor that screws into the bottom of the filter from the old one. When you go to put the sensor on the new filter , be sure to pull the plastic/rubber like plug out of the new filter 1st. Keep a mental note to do this everytime you change.I changed mine last month and I was puzzled at how there were no threads to put the sensor on till I remembered to take the plug out...duh.
