Fuel Guage Problems

My fuel guage bounces all over the place. almost like a seismograph. It's really nothing more than a nuicance, but is there something in particular that is common to these trucks that causes this problem? I have no problems switching between tanks or anything, and the guage does the same thing on both tanks.

Re: Fuel Guage Problems

I"ve been told the gauges in these trucks knda suck. The tach on mine bounces all the time, especcially when the blinker is on. When I hit bumps the oil pressure "drops" til I pound the dashboard, then the voltae will jump fom 8vdc to 18vdc or so. As for the fuel gauge, I'd have to say it might be fallinginto the same wonderful glitch that all the rest of mine have. Perhaps bad sensors?

Re: Fuel Guage Problems

Tank senders are clapped out. We all have this problem at some point.
