Fuel Leak

Noticed fuel dripping from the front axle area and leaking near drivers side back door. ("I am sure you guys already know where the fuel line runs")

The line is really rusted in these two spots. The one spot is where the fuel line runs around near the oil filter. It is seeping through in both spots. Can I just cut out this section wich all together would probably be 4ft.?

What is the best way to splice/repair this and/or what size is the fuel line I need to buy.

Rusty? Mine were weeping in the same spots. I wound up replacing the whole rubber section from the fuel pump to the hard lines under the bed with about 9 feet of line (I think it was really 8 but always get more than you need).

In actual fact steel lines are used for the "heat protection" it affords. You could use aftermarket steel fuel line of the correct size and make a replacement....
