Fuel Mileage?

Guys what are you getting for fuel mileage with the turbo motors. I have the 4.10 gears and a 5 speed in a standard cab F-350 4x4. Towing hard I never have got below 12 normally she gets 15 empty. If I drive it like I'm 80 year old I get 18.

Is this good bad or about normal?

To really save on fuel, duct tape a piece of 2 x 4 to the underside of the foot feed.
Driving similar to an 80 year old is not really bad.
Remember it is transportation, not a "statement".

If transportation was all I cared about, I think I'd go get some import rice burner.

But hey, I agree w/ you..... I'm the fool who has a 1979 Pinto station wagon and drive it as the 'beater mobile'. Price was right: free- but felt bad so gave two tires for it. Needed a starter, flywheel (flat spot). But I don't have much into it..... hauls lots of stuff when I go into town for parts.... Gets me from "A" to "C".

Yes, I actually ADMIT I have a Pinto!!!!

Planned upgrades are a new and better turbo and larger exhaust pipes than the 21/2s that are already under the rig/ would like a 6 spd tranny but dont know if that is a feasable or smart investment yet.
