fuel sender

i've seen a couple posts about parts to repair the sender assembly. if someone could send me a pic of the card and the full and empty readings i might be able to find the correct card. i have access to repair parts for this style of sending unit. the card would be new. other parts used, but in very useable condition. i also have new brass floats alot cheaper than ford. i don't have any flange repair parts. if anyone is interested just let me know.

not to thread hijack, but what's this about cards?

Something's amiss with my front sender, gas guage doesn't work when on front tank. I've read replacement senders are kinda pricy, I'd like to fix the one i have if possible..I haven't dropped the tank yet, I'm hoping it's just the float, just looking to gather as much knowledge on the subject as possible before i tear into it.

Well, very roughly speaking.

Imagine taking a credit card and wrapping it with wire, starting at one end and ending up at the other end. Then it can be used as a variable resistor of sorts. At the opposite end of the fuel float arm from the float is a sort of card like that, as the float goes up and down, the float arm rubs an electric pickup across the credit card with the wire and gives varying voltage to the fuel gauge.
