fuesl guage problem! please help!!

hey guys my front sending unit line was leaking. also some of my fuel lines were getting bad so i fixed them. i took bed off and nocked some of rust off of front take with light tapping of hammer. used gas tanke repair kit and cleaned sending unit line and coated it with the gas tanke sealer stuff. Also fixed the fuel lines that were bad. while i was at it my rear fuel tank leaked very bad. i shapped tankes (used same sending unit tho). after doing all of this i installed bed and primed the system and now the truck rung great no more air in lines smiles. but only problem now is both tanks my gas guage just lays way way way way above the full mark on the stopper. please help!!! what is wrong? also how can i fix the problem? my truck is a 94 ext cab f250 factory turbo international diesel. please help!
thanks,
jimmy

Are the tank senders grounded correctly........

Here are the fuel guage test #s

22 ohms sent to the guage it reads empty "E"

145 ohm sent to the guage it reads full "F"

Here are the sender test #s

Sender at empty stop 14-18 ohms

Sender at full stop 154-162 ohms

where does the sending units ground to? mine has 4 wires going to the plug but only one goes to the sending unit. i know other one is probably a ground but where does that ground wire run to? ill check the ground. im almiost sure its a ground issue. I am guessing one of the wires from the sending unit hook somewhere to a ground.

Sounds like when the lines/etc were coated that a good ground was not completed

My front tank was like that and it turned out to be that one of the wires going into the sending unit plug was broke off. I spliced them back together and it works better. I'd check to make sure that you didn't break one of them and not realize it.

all wires are hooked up onto the sending unit. I didn't coat anything on my front tank besides just the 2 little pipes coming out of the sending unit. other then that i took a hammer lightly tapped frotn tank to remove some of the scaley rust off. but ya was wondering if they actually had a ground wire running to ght sendign onit that hooked somewhere or was the tank supposed to ground itself?
thanks again!

I have the same issue. Right around 1/4 of a tank my fuel gauges for both tanks just jumps up and down, unless I'm sitting on a very slight grade ( 2-3%) then they just show way above full. Maybe bad ground?
