Re: glow plug relay

On the gp Relay there is a small white wire on a small terminal. Connect another wire to the same terminal, then to one side of your MOMENTARY switch, from the other side of MOMENTARY switch to ground and you're set. Hold MOMENTARY switch 8-10 seconds then fire it up. Do not use a regualr switch because if it gets left on or accidently switched on by you or someone else it WILL burn/swell up the plugs and then you'll have a REAL problem!!! BajaGringo

Re: glow plug relay

I did this mod. today as a matter of fact. its very easy to do. heres a few steps i took.............Gibson

1) take the airfilter housing off
2) take the plasctic cover off the controller (says: do not
jump start here)
3) located the white wire
4) disconnect white wire
5) connect some wire to the spot where the white wire was
6) run that newly placed wire into the cab and up the dash to a
push button switch (ignition switch) can be bought at AutoZone
or wally-world (connect that wire to the the accesory prong)
7) connect another wire to the "power" prong on the switch
8) run that wire out the cab and to the Pos. (+) battery terminal
9) put a 15 amp fuse between the batetry and switch as for
protection against blowing your controller up.
