Hey guys,
A quick question on glow plugs for my '93 F350 non turbo 7.3 idi. I've read where the Motorcraft ZD9 glow plugs are the best replacement GPs. What are your opinions?
ZD-9's by MotorCraft are the preferred brand. I have a set of Wellman's (Diesel Rx) and they have performed great for the last 3 years for me. General consensus is DO NOT use Autolite.

I tried Wellmans on my previous F350 and within a few weeks 4 (IIRC) were bad. I called the vendor and they sent more ASAP, and before long 2 more were bad. I went back to ZD9s and never looked back. When it's time to replace the ones on my new F350 ZD9s will go in it.

Well once again, thanks to you guys for your responses! Looks like Motorcraft ZD9 is the winner. I see them at Rock auto parts listed for $9.60 each is that right? Seems quite a bit less than the $23.50 that Chuckster57 was quoted.
Thanks again.

Yep, I replaced mine a couple months ago and the regular price from Rock Auto was right at $9+ apiece. Seems to me guys here have said that's been their price for a number of years now.
