Good Deal???

Yesterday i came across a 94 crew cab long bed dually 2wd factory turbo IDI with some motor issues for $2000. The guy said some fuel got in his crank case and spun a main bearing, or something like that, and just didnt want to deal with it. Its an auto, with 360,000 miles on it.Now i have a 89 idi motor with a banks turbo kit on it sitting in my garage that i got out of a junk yard, truck was T-boned, and im not sure how the motor is, if it even runs, i was only after turbo and it seemed fine, no endplay, and had all parts. Is the truck a deal, and also would the motor in my garage be a direct swap????Oh and how do i fill out my signature?

I would say its border line good deal since you don't know the story on your 89 motor, it will be a direct swap as long as the 94 is an idi and not a power stroke.

if you have a motor for it,even if you didnt it would be a deal if the body and interior are in good shape

I got mine for $1500 with a bad engine. I did not have a spare motor. Yours will bolt in no problem as long as it is good.
I would go for it, if you like to work on them, or at least can. The guys on these forums will help you get it up and running.
Make sure the 94 is not a powerstroke. Look for the IP on top of the engine like on the spare engine.
