I dont really trust my factory temp gauge on my 1990 super duty, where is the best place to put the sender on a mech temp gauge? thanks for any responses!

Install it in the same location that the factory sender is in now. Then move the factory sender to the plug in the water pump. That plug in in the blending loop that both heads flow thru just before the coolant sees the thermostat.
