Got my T-case fixed! Now, question about oil pressure sender..
YEE HAW! Finished up putting in my boneyard 1356 t-case last night at about 9pm. Went ahead and put new u-joints in the front driveshaft while I was at it. I'll have to post some pics of the truck "after stacks". Don't think I have one up yet.
Truck seems to pull a little better. I think maybe there was a LOT of drag in the old T-case towards it's latter days. Pump locked up on the mainshaft, sent most of the pump into the chain and broke a shift fork. Don't know if racing the 12V cummins had anyhting to do with it or not 2 days previous to it going out. NOW,
I'm tired of the "Turbocator" Hypermax boost/pyro all in one thingy, so I'm going to order some new ISSPROs today. Adding an oil pressure gauge and need to know where an alternate location for the sending unit would be besides the pressurized outlet providing oil to the turbo. I think the factory sending unit is back there, and it's a mo-sucka to gain access to.
Is there another port on the side of the block somewhere?
Oh yeah, if anyone wants this turbocator thingie, let me know, It won't come with the tubing kit or a thermocouple, but since I'm a dealer for ISSPRO now, I can get that stuff for ya cheap. It will come with the housing, painted to match the maroon ford interior.

I think there is a port on the oil filter housing.

Re: Got my T-case fixed! Now, question about oil pressure sender..
as I recall, there was some discussion here, a year or so ago, about there being different pressures at the different ports; due to distribution losses in the engine.
Can't remember what the upshot of the whole thing was; but maybe that moving the gauge would give one a reading that wouldn't correlate well to the factory spec or other people's readings.
...but I sure wouldn't want to go after that factory sender with a full turbo kit on either!

There used to be a link here, to some useful IDI-diesel tech info; but it was chopped out by others, in a vain attempt to repress the very essence of the internet: linking!

Re: Got my T-case fixed! Now, question about oil pressure sender..
your correct the oil filter housing port will give you a higher pressure, also guys like to use the turbo supply port because then they know there getting enough oil through the turbo.

i'm also interested to know a location to install this oil pressure circuit i have. i just need it to know when the oil pressure is above 10psi so it will allow power to go trought (a safety circuit). i the one behind the gp comptroler the best to use or i can get it out of the bottom of the engine on on the filter hosing?

Re: Got my T-case fixed! Now, question about oil pressure sender..
I plumbed mine in on the turbo supply, same location as the factory sender now. I see pressures of 10-13 psi at idle and 35-45 while running. I am sure these are low compared to the block but I know that the turbo is getting oil. My stock gauge stays on the L no matter what the mechanical says. So much for the stock setup.
