Gotta say goodbye (for a whle).

Guys (and Gals),

Its been real and its been fun and its been real fun (and informative).

To all that freely shared their knowledge (and opinions), thank you.

For me its back to the sandbox on 1 Aug. My younger brother will be utilizing Big Red while I'm gone (now you know why I didn't turn up the fuelpump or wastegate rod). He promises not to tinker until I get back. Should be back somewhere between 14-24 months from now.

I'll try and persuade him to sign on here and get help (yes he needs a lot of help - mentally , psychologically , co-ordinationally and with his love life also - he he he, what are older brothers for anyway ?).

Once again folks thanks for everything and when I'm back maybe I can get those *($&^#% axles swapped.

Thank you.... Its a job I wish I could do but can't.... I'm too old now.... Just saying thank you seems like its not enough. I know when you get back there will be a get together. We will keep you in our thoughts for as long as it takes to return home.

Re: Gotta say goodbye (for a whle).

All,

Been here about a month, and its just as much fun as last time. Still the life of a GD contractor is so much better than that of all the troops that go outside the fence.

I do what I can to make sure they have what they need to come back in one piece.

Taji is relatively quiet, (had a few rockets two weeks back), but other than a destroy'd sleeping hootch none of guys got hurt.

Heat, some dust, more heat, occasional fly, more heat ... get the picture. In a month or so, it'll be getting (somewhat) cooler, and then 1-2 months after that (a bit) rainy.

Well that's the news for now.

Keep the (black) smoke flowing.
