Which head goes on which side?

Which cylionder head goes on which sid eof the block?

I took them off and they got mixed up at the machine shop... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

The heads are interchangeable. If you want them back as they came off you may be able to tell which was where by looking at the bracket mounting holes. The ones that were to the front should be sort of clean or at least look like they had bolts in them.

usually the one with the inflow tube for/from the heater core goes on the passenger side...

They got dipped in a vat and then I ceramic-painted them...

I dont know about the thing your talking about Ziggster...I mean I know hte block heater, but not the other thingy...

The exhaust ports are different... one head would make them farther forward and the other would push them all back... that s the only real difference that i noticed, but Ill go look again.

He would be talking about the pipe that sticks up from the head to which one of the heater core hoses is attached.
