headgaskets leaking

When I moved the truck out of the shop this morning I could hear a weird noise it sounded like presure being relived from a air line .It only does it while running and is the loadest under the truck It is not constant or does it happen at the same time intervals. But I did find while I was looking around that I have bubbles coming from the headgasket mating surface no water just all oily most of that I think has come from the valve cover.

Re: headgaskets leaking

Compression escaping from the head gasket would cause me some concern was this engine ever rebuilt or had major head surgery..

I think a compression test is in order...

Since we have not been told the exact area of the bubbling/leak that info could provide us some insight as to whats going on where.

If the leak is at the back cylinder areas then I would assume the CDR may have allowed excess oil to enter the intake and migrate to the #7 and #8 cylinders.....

I have emailed you some info that has been posted many times re the CDR.

Re: headgaskets leaking

It was in the area of the back two cly on the drivers side. the cdr has been moved to before the turbo so any oil gets evenly sent to all cly now.Ever sence I put the turbo on there has been more and more sepage of oil I think it is just time for gaskets.I did over heat it going over the grape vine in Calf a few years ago also.

Re: headgaskets leaking

Could be a combination of a high boost to many times and the overheat situation......rearing their ugly heads.
