Hi, I've looked in my service manual and done some reading here and looked at photos but for some reason still challenged in locating the OP Sender. From what I've read, it should be top of rear of motor. I've removed the air cleaner and have left the turbo in place. I've done senders on other cars, usually a little canister with one or two wires, but feeling kind of dumb - can someone please help me identify what the OP sender looks like (size, shape, wires) and location in relation to the turbo? Thanks!
What kind of vehicle are you reffering to?
Information is important

IF it is a factory IDI turbo'd engine then the Oil pressure sending unit is mounted to the fitting on the top of the turbo. In the picture below it is in the middle of the photo and has the one wire attached. Disregard the vacum line..It was for a boost gauge and I move it to a different spot.

Cool, thanks Chuckster - I just eyeballed on my truck and will get to testing her asap. It looks like it would be a snap to plumb in a new sender here, either mechanical or electrical, to get a better gauge reading. I'll do some more reading on gauge upgrades.
Sorry Bob, thought I had done my sig. It's a 94 F350 dually with 7.3 TD. I'm good for now, still got lots to learn about working on my first diesel.

Put that info in your signature and location in your profile. Then all your future post's will be easier to get an answer.

Gauge problem turned out to be loose connection at sender. I'm going to replace the push on with a terminal connector and nut to keep it tight for the time being. Time to start looking for a mechanical gauge. I think I'll relocate the aftermarket gauge pod from below the dash to the a pillar. It has trans temp, boost and voltage. OP will make a nice addition and it will be nice to have them lighted too. Thanks again all for your help!
