My 93-F250 wont start It acts like it has good juice but the voltage meter stays low and the amp light wont go of I tried jumping it but when the WTS light go off it just clicks no crank, What could it be I just plugged it in to see if that helps that I'd hit you guys up while I wait.
1984 toyota BJ60 Landcruiser, 3B diesel, H55f 5 speed, Best rig Ive ever owned. Never needs anything, 503,000km, Old Man Emu suspension, rusty and running strong Will certainly outlive all my other wheels
1985 Toyota 4wd pickup, single cab, rare 2lt 2.4l turbo diesel, 5 speed, custom flatdeck, timing belt every 100,000k and shes good to go. 393,000km Excellent fuel economy!
You need to verify that your batteries are good. Jumping it with small cables on dead batteries will have very little effect.
You need to try jumping the solenoid as well to see if it is working.

So I plugged the engine heater in all day and I went and got my dads high quality battery charger. I cleaned the battery terminals and let it charge for about an hour, still when I turnover the ingition it just clicks once and nothing. In my experinence if it was a bad starting solenoid it would click constantly wich it doesnt, and if it was the starter I would have noticed problem before, I drove it about a week ago and it was a little slow turning over but it fired on its one I figured it was just cold cause I didnt have it plugged in, but now I dont know what to think I tried tapping on the starter, but no difference any suggestions
Hydrolocking is NOT the problem. Bad batteries is a good possibility. Take them out and have them "load tested". and if they pass them make sure they are BOTH fully charged. Check the cable ends for corrosion, these starters draw massive amps to turn the engine over against 400+ lbs. of compression. I would also have the starter checked, but not at the nearest chain store as they just apply 12 VDC to see if it spins and don't put any load on them.
Have to wonder if the Alt. didn't go south...

Your right I may need to just have the batteries checked but whats funny about the whole deal is that even when its not hooked up to the charger or jumper cables the lights come on and the radio works everything seems fine just seems like something isnt connecting to get it to crank.
Turn your head lamps on and then turn the key...do your headlights go dim? and how much. The radio take very little juice to run. There can be 12VDC present but not the AMPS needed to turn the starter.

Thanks I'll take out the Batteries and the starter an d have em checked, What it does is when the Wait To Start Light goes off Something is clicking and while it click the lights go dim everytime it clicks, I suppose this is the glow plugs or something right?
my truck used to act very similar. except with mine, most of the time it would just click once when i turned the key, but every once in a while it would actually turn over. I got a new starter and it works %100 percent everytime.
if both of the batteries are fully charged and ur still getting clicking it sounds like the starting solenoid on the starter. Are your battery cables tight on the posts? to test the the solenoid u can jump the two terminals on the starter to see it turns over wit a set of jumper wires . if it turns over its your solenoid most likley. when u get ur starter checked at the store they just check the starter not the solenoid . u can also do one other test by runnin a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery to the s terminal on the starter solenoid
