hey Pete - don't you have IP model #s?

i'm looking for a new IP since i'll be turning over the 250k mark this week... i want to make sure i get the correct version to replace my OE one.
i seem to recall that you had the model #s for the different years. am i wrong? you know: DB2 - XXXX?

on a side note:
it was 70*F here Friday afternoon. Last night, it was 28*F & we got our first snow - 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Re: hey Pete - don't you have IP model #s?

Best to check the side tag on the OEM IP should read 4821 for 92 and below.

If the engine tag on the timing/oil filler cover has 92.5 punched out then a 5013 IP is required for the Performance and emissions engine. If yours is the late 91 or early 92 built truck not likely a P&E engine.

Re: hey Pete - don't you have IP model #s?

a little to cold/dark/greasy right now, but:
truck build date 06/1992 (St. Louis plant, i believe) - it's the 92.5+ IP for sure.

ever heard of a 5030?

Re: hey Pete - don't you have IP model #s?

That 5030# does not ring a bell, 5070 is the Turbo IP.... MWIF has them listed by number, but DIS has only one listed unless they charge same for different IPs.

Re: hey Pete - don't you have IP model #s?

thanks, i didn't notice that. but i will say that their E code injectors have been in for 20k miles with no problems (yes, the same part number as on that 'warned' page). they were New stanadyne's - not rebuilt. can't tell you if that warning was there when i bought them a year ago as i said - didn't see it 'til you pointed it out.
i guess i'll give them a call & see what they have to say?

Pete, you DO know that i am not/would never question your Authority on the IDI, right? simply put, i singled you out for a reason. (NOOBS take note)

i swear i saw someone here post a list of DB2 part #s (IE: 1992.5-94 non-turbo / DB2-xxxx - DB2-xxxx) once... i would have lost money betting that it was you.
i'll go bug Mel & Trav, too.
