Holes in Differential Cover
When I pulled a complete differential from a used truck in the salvage yard I noticed two holes in the differential housing. One is right behind the ID plate. The other is at about the 5 o'clcok position and has a rubber plug in it.
Are these for ventilation? There is a vent tube on the left side where the brake lines come together. If the holes are a vent, do I need to close the other vent tube or can I use both?
