Well, for what it's worth.....just thought I'd send an update.
Im trading my IDI(and a few other things) for a PSD. I like the IDI but my truck is ROUGH and rides rough too. I think the ride is just normal for its condition. The psd is 2wd but rides verry smooth and is rust-free. I learned way more information off my current truck than anything I've owned before. I got past scared mode with taking off the heads :P The psd is also naturally a turbo, and has a standard shift..both things I have been wanting for a while.
I will still pop in here to chat around and OLDBULL Bill will be my loophole to exposure back to these engines since he lives 'down the road'.
Maybe i'll have the get my name changed back to anthony2010

Couldn't agree more, I had an '82 2WD F-250 and it rode like a Cadillac compared to the wonderful 4X4 F-250 front suspension. If yours is like all the rest (and my '91), the front springs sag out after a years' use and there's only about 1/2" or less spring travel until the rubber bumpers contact the frame.
I've had many friends over the years that have older computer controlled PSD's and contrary to what you "hear" here, they've never had any problems at all with the computer, electronic injectors, fly by wire throttle, etc.
Hey little Buddy, so you decided to go the big time EH. You better put that dozer to work and make some bucks, you know what those PSD injectors cost. Just digging you a little . You did just great getting that 91 250 going. At your young age, just think of the education you'll get here on the TDS . I've got 2 IDI's and a E4OD to rebuild, come on over, then you can legally be part of the IDI forum I'm sure you'll get get all the help you'll need on the PSD forum inthe event of any trouble. The TDS is a great site for all the Ford owners, sure has been for me. I think it was that had a slogan years ago, where a light bulb lit up and said has a better Idea. Good Luck with it.
Bill aka Oldbull

Yes I see what the injectors cost! $$$$ hope mine don't die any time soon :P TDS has given me so much knowledge already it would cost a lot to learn it all at a college, even though im probably going to be paying through the nose for it later after high-school.
LM I agree...they are not "puke and chokes" in any way...most of the problems i've heard of are pretty much easily fixed.
hey anthony im sorry to see you out of the idi life hope the powerstroke treats you as well as the idi did you sure have learned a lot i rember when i first joined tds we had a discussion over posts on how to do something
well hope to hear from you still
and good luck with the psd
and one more thing yes it is an easy fix just the parts cost an arm and a leg
