So whats all involved?The fan clutch came off the motor and dug into the radiator.So besides replacing the radiator how do I put this thing on.I understand its left hand thread and the motor holds it on but do I tighten it or what do I do? what are the steps?

It evidently wasn't tightened enough to start with. Tighten it as much as you can when re-installing, smack the wrench good it can take it. Azone and/or some auto supply stores will lend (deposit required) you the wrenches for that, you have to hold the pump pulley when tightening. When the engine stops the fan still keeps turning and will spin off
