My curiosity was sparked from another post. How much weight can an F250 haul in the bed? Or how much have you guys hauled? My 94 has factory overload springs, does that make a difference?
Thanks,
-Rob

What ever your GVW is that is the legal wt for the truck by Ford.
I've had mine up to 9600 GVW and it is a 8800 GVW that weighs 6500lbs dry with no problems.

Toys: 26'Jayco FK TT, 18'Sylvan Pro Fish.
totally empty my truck is 6600lbs.
fueled up with tools it's closer to 8000lbs.
I've loaded a pallet of concrete, 45 bags @ 80lbs.
3,600 in the bed.
in the case of the pallet of concrete (done it 5-6 times) I just make sure the pallet gets pushed in front of the rear axle and the truck handles fine.

I've had a cube of block (around 1200 lbs) and 20 bags of mortor (1600lbs) in my 85. It was over loaded, but handled it just fine. I agree, keep the weight between the axles. The mortor was behind the axle, and the front end was pretty light.
Good to know, I am amazed at the number of loading guys at places light lowes that think its fine to put a pallet of stuff behind the axle of a truck or trailer.

My father was the greatest man I've ever known. I think the only bad info/ advice I got from him in my whole life was how much one could load in a truck.
I've had way more than anyone has mentioned so far in the back of my 250. I won't mention the numbers to avoid being slammed, but I have tickets to show what was in the truck- Gross, Tare, Net. It handled fine with the load biased towards the front. I believe I have a helper leaf in the rear based on other conversations about the number of stock leafs on these trucks.
I won't do that anymore, though.

I don't know how much it weighed, but during a flood here three years ago I had the bed completely filled with sand bags...enough that they started falling off because they were stacked so high. I have the blown out bedsides to prove it. It was a LOT of weight but I have different springs than factory. Steered like the front end was off the ground though... Are the frame and suspension very similar between the F350 and E350? Which carries more weight right out the show room floor? I'm talkin model year 1989.

done: Remanufactured Inj pump, New Stanadyne injectors, Michelin M/S tires, ShellZone AF & Fleetrite SCA, replaced and relocated fuel filter assembly, elec fuel pump, no flying saucer, return lines/ o-ring kit, new heater core, 8 Beru glow plugs, oil & filter, stabilator on sliding door (plastic slider cracked in half)
I hauled 3400 lbs of block for the patio. Only needed to go a short ways and the truck handled it fine. I could tell that it was a lot of weight, especially to get stopped.
