IDI comparison to Chevy 5.7 vortec, or 6.0, etc
Hi Guys,
I may be selling my 1992 F250 IDI(non-turbo) this fall and then in the spring purchasing a 1999 - 2000 Chevy K2500 with the GAS 5.7 or 6.0 vortec engine. May also go with a ford V-8 gas.
It too would be a 3/4 ton.
I'm wondering how these 2 vehicles would compare to each other in HP, torque, etc. I think that the newer a newer gas truck may put out the same HP and torque as my 1992 IDI? Is there any truth to this?
