Idi performance builds

Here are two builds some of you might be interested in. They are really pushing the idi performance threshold.

You can't post links to some sites because of various conflicts between operators of various forums.

Maybe you could post a link to a URL shortening service, then post that here. I'd like to see the links.

What I want to know is who has a ton of miles on one of these performance-oriented IDIs. I'm totally willing to do custom pistons and everything else to chase performance if it's not going to throw my reliability into the toilet.

you have to read around but if you got the money they say they can build it. I have seen one of their set ups on a IDI just the whipple supercharger, it looked very simple to bolt up

While the supercharger thread is cool that is not the thread I'm talking about. One of the threads was started by NMB2 and is an extreme build that has over 40 pages worth of thread already the other build is by RacinNdrummin and is a little smaller than the other build but will make decent power too. That build has over 14 pages. Sorry idk how to do that URL site but you should be able to find um. Look them up. They are really good builds!!

i been slowly reading through the 40+ page thread. Its very interesting and informing. However if you do not have access to the tools this man does this build is not economically possible

I think I agree with the moderator that ran the guy and a few others off after dozens of pages of as he said "bench racer" B.S. from wannabes who's knowledge and actual experience consists of little more than raising a hood and checking the oil.

The other build is a little more along the lines of what others could build too. If you can't weld, you can have a shop build a turbo kit for you for a decent price I'm sure. But otherwise it is a pretty simple build to beside some of the extras that he is doing. But both builds are awesome none the less.

He is proving he's not a bench racer though. He is actually doing a really good build. I am sure it will at least make decent power too.
