injector brand

I had my injectors bench tested and six were n/g. They did the testing right in front of me. They were either not atomizing or leaking after firing. My next question is in regards to brand and pricing. They wanted to sell me a new set at $60 an injector! I did some quick checking online and found $36 apiece. I also found $30 each, but they were bosch. Which brand is oem? Is there a better choice then oem or brands I should stay away from? Thanks.

Re: injector brand

Wolf,
I'm pretty sure OEM is Stanadyne. Never had touble with them. Put in Delphis when I installed the turbo and in ~ 5000 miles, 3 have taken a dump. I don't think I'm buying Delphi again. I've been paying ~ $30.00 for Stanadynes. My $0.02.

Re: injector brand

Stanadyne is the OEM. Whatever you use don't use anything rebuilt. They are almost the same price as new injectors. Some here like CAV or Delphi.

Re: injector brand

Bosch are good, I had new delphi in mine and after 10 k they were all over on pop, had them reshimmed and they work fine now. I think the spring takes a set and messes them up.
I have rebuilt stanadynes in there right now and I think I am going to pay the money for new tips and stay with older oem. Less problems so far.
