Injectors, eh

Hey...

Does anyone make any injectors that vaporize the fuel better? Can I replace the tips on the Stanadyne injectors?

Im getting new injectors anyways, engine is all apart (just relined cylinder walls) and am replacing all the fuel stuff...

Re: Injectors, eh

when i checked around, it was about the same price to purchase brand spanking new stanadynes as it was to test them. at that point, i didn't even bother asking how much to rebuild them.
i paid around $26 each at MWFI . make sure to get the return line kit with them - new caps, line, clamps.

Re: Injectors, eh

Welcome to the site. check out http://www.dps-performance.com for high performance IDI injectors. Otherwise, stock is it. Don't try messing with them yourself, as the likelyhood of sucess without experience and special equipment is nill.

Re: Injectors, eh

Yeah, Ill be ordering them from MWFI, unless the DPS guys have something better... I may end up ordering their head studs as well. its real ify though, at 675 for 34 pieces & of metal matching nuts... hmm...

Thanks, I tried posting over at FTE (where I usually am), but htey didnt respond...

Edit: I looked at DPS, and they only have injectors for the 6.9NA & 7.3NA, still developing hte 7.3 Turbo's... Ill give them a call

Re: Injectors, eh

Yeah I think I am about ready to order some injectors from MWFI. I just put a return line kit on so hopefully I won't need to buy one of those. Not sure I kept up with the copper washers so that is why I was wondering if the new ones came with washers.
