Installed new battery cables from custom cables

I thought it was time to change out my battery cables, as they were almost 20 years old, i've had the truck since '96.
I went the custom battery cable route... and they worked out well. I had to,on drivers side to make a wiring mod as the old ground cable to the battery had two small wires molded into the connector, then the other end went to two sorts of quick-disconnect plugs(no idea, disappeared into wiring harness)
The passenger side battery, the ground to the engine also had a #8 or so wire to the frame, couldn't loosen the bolt(hard to get at) so drilled another hole and attached the ground to it.
Had the same sort of condition with a small wire molded onto the ground terminal, went to gnd. on starter solenoid. Put a #10 in it's place.
All in all, not a bad job......it evened started up!!
Thanks to all who posted about custom battery cables, worked for me!

Ya... same here too!

I ordered a set saturday...

I did alotta research on trying to find the materials at the lowest cost and was going to do it myself.

Custom battery cables were still cheaper by about $10 or so...

So thats a no brainer 4 me + when you buy all three cables you get free shipping...

Heavy Duty, Aftermarket, Custom Battery Cables for your Car, Truck or RV

I got mine for $114 delivered (one year ago), great quality. Also, I didn't realize how fried my old cables were until they were removed. Corroded, split, black, bad news.

i did some more checking and found that site. unfortunately, they seem to be on a hiatus for a couple of more weeks. i tried to look up what they cost, but it would not allow me to. are you still happy with those cables, and were they good to deal with.

i wish i could see their work and prices. i clicked on the f250/f350 link on their site to see, and poof, no go. from what i see of the positive cable, i dont know how one could have one custom made. i looked at a couple of sites and did not see and clamps and such that would work, well. but i do not need them asap, as it does start now and it is only getting warmer.

I got mine from O'reilly's auto parts chain down in Minnesota for $75. They are made in the USA and are exceptional quality. The same ones are listed on ebay for $65 under "Northern Auto Parts"....(or something like that).
