Just like the new boys

So after months ( years ) of being jealous of newer trucks I now have those fancy " turn signal - behind the glass " mirrors. Click HERE Plenty of shop time to get this done.

Re: Just like the new boys

won't they show through the backing of the mirror - meaning just mount them back there and they'll work? I like it though.

Even better would be not using LED's. But, then I'd be driving everywhere with the hazards on trying to melt snow and Ice. Maybe that's a bad idea.

NEAT!!!

Re: Just like the new boys

In my pictures I now have an additional picture showing the LED lites before I installed the glass. This one is the left side. Simply I cut a piece of PVC plastic to fit the upper portion of the mirror cavity and bought LED strip liting which I bent and attached to the plastic. I glued the plastic in place with silicone and wired them to my front turn signals. Not shown is a gasket of black foam I put around the LED strip to concentrate the bulb lite projections. After all that I re installed the mirror glass and tested them tonite in pure darkness and they shine beautiful For those who want, go to my pictures for a closer look . For those who really want, PM me for more detailed information. Sorry that any part numbers will be Canadian
