Who are "they" exactly?? none of the posts or comments in this thread came from vendors registered here or elsewhere for that matter.
I think K&N is way overpriced and overhyped but it isn't crappy either and it gives us all a chance to save money later by not having to buy a new paper filter every other oil change. The biggest problem with a K&N type filter is that most just forget about it and never clean them, either because they are just plain lazy or because they have this false sense that it is a drop-in and forget about it type filter. It actually filters better after it is a litte dirty by blocking more particles. No I don't sell them, but I have been using and racing w/ vehicles equipped w/ it for over 15 years and it was a pioneer in high perf filtration system then and it deserves at least that much recognition, and you don't have to buy it if yo don't want to

Oh yea, they send me a huge check every month, that's why I'm still pulling my trailer with a 18 year old '91.

FYI a big Tymar Donadlson filter will last years in extremely dirty conditions..way over 1lb of dust and still flow rated air.

Just a note..I used to design cleanrooms down to a class 10..think I know how to get air clean.
