im going to do high idle for my power inverter so all im going to do is attach a cable (like bike brake cable) to the throttle and then run it into the cab
there are many rig styles
1 idles and thats all (usually bad for truck to idle)
2 idles then cpu revs up for a few min (designed to save fuel and still keep engine good)
3 high idle (what youd have just idles with more speed keeping the oil up)
4 aux oil pumps (same as high idle but at true idle which saves fuel an aux ele pump will dump into the valve covers
5 turns off after 5 min (you guessed it thats all it does, these usually have gen sets on them)
