I was at the junkyard today, and I came across this motor still in the truck. I didn't look at the year, but it had that 87-91 front clip on it. The wiring harness was pulled, but this looks like a 3 wire throttle position sensor on the IP throttle shaft. It looks like a typical tps sensor found on that year era with a EFI motor. I first thought it may be for the E4OD, but it had a ZF in it. Any clue what it's for?
That is the TPS for the E4OD trans trucks. Sounds like someone installed a pump from an auto truck on a standard trans truck. Those parts are nice to have when you loose the fitting on the shaft that fits in the TPS switch. Some members forget to remove those when they send back a core pump.
