Re: Major problem with my BANKS turbo...need help!

Damn, sorry to hear about that Dan. IS there any local shops in the are that could at least diagnose your problem and then let you fix it. There cannot be too much wrong with your truck if it ran fine before you tore it down. Either way, you have got to do, what you ahve got to do.. Good luck. Scotty

Re: Major problem with my BANKS turbo...need help!

This an absolute shot in the dark but why would somebody take the time to remove a turbo they put on 450,000 miles ago then have it rebuilt to sell the whole kit, that doesnt add up to me.
Also if the turbo is rebuilt could there be something wrong in there such as a set of reversed fins I am not sure its possible or not but I think I would have that turbo rechecked by a shop.
Also when I put mine on I was kinda upset about the power was expecting more seat of the pants feel but I noticed that the truck seems to run about the same with the turbo when you arent pulling heavy but when you load it to death like I do thats when to turbo really pays off and if he isnt loading or pulling alot he probably wont notice the big gains especially with a non wastegate
