the limited space is killlin me. 3 people max. and no room for all my equipment. I'd like to sell it to someone here on teh board if i can find me an ext. or crew cab dually IDI thats been takin care of and isnt too far or too pricy for me. thanks...............Gibson

BTW, i would keep my sound system, CB, PA, and siren. also the truck runs like a champ. all it needs is paint and some minor things that just "need to be replaced".

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

To determine what something is "worth", you must sell it, the price that it sells for is exactly what is "worth."

To give a good idea of what it is worth, you must go to an authority or an expert,

KBB.comEngine: V8 7.3 Liter Diesel
Trans: 5 Speed Manual
Drive: 2WD
Mileage: 260,000

Equipment
XLT
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
AM/FM Stereo
Multi Compact Disc
Premium Sound
Premium Wheels
Dual Rear Wheels
Utility

Consumer Rated Condition: Good
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history , the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.

Private Party Value Search Local Listings | List This Car for Sale $3,685
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.
KBB price quote Good Luck

have you thought of getting a CC with a bad or missing motor? I have killed off many std cab trucks of late due to the fact they don't sell well compared to SC or CC. That way you will know your motor and trans and will have confidence that the truck will take you anywhere.

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

there's no reason why he can't start the offer at whatever he wants. KBB is only a guide, not gospel. In fact most of the time they are way off when it comes to our trucks. I know memebers on here who have paid a premium for a rust-free CA truck in the rustbelt area and they are happy they did it. Why? its not because they don't know the value of a dollar, its because its what they wanted and what's local to them isn't worth keeping up.

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

In my experience KBB's prices and other such prices are a bit low on our trucks. If you have one with good paint and tires, in sound mechanical condition, I think most folks would pay a little more--especially given the cost of new trucks.

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

thanks men. im not sure but, in other states and bigger cities these trucks don't sell worth a crap. but around small cow towns, especially in Texas, they sell very well. i just priced a '90 CC DRW flat bed with 172K and has been takin care of for 4,250. the paint isn't too great and the it needs new wheels. its worth it to me and many others.........Gibson

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

I forgot about the cow town mentality!

Park her down by the Tastee Freeze, everyone will get a good look!

Alot has to do with motivation, local economy, and new truck sales. If local economy is depressed, the truck is likely worth more.

Like I said "Best of Luck"

BB

KBB considers location when doing there pricing, that is the reason for the required Zip Code, they don't forget about the cow town aura.

that sounds about right to me. NADAguide was quite lower but there was no options added to the price. it'd look brand new with fresh paint and tint on the glass. Im open to any offer..................Gibson

Re: might get rid of my IDI...

I live in BC Canada, and I don't know what you guys are talking about as far as prices go. I paid 10,000 canadian bucks for my 94 f250 king cab 7.3L IDI waste gated turbo. It has 250000 km on it and is in mint condition. When looking I couldn't find any up here for less than 11000 bucks, so I figure I got a great deal. 4000 bucks sounds like a steal to me. The powered jokes get near 20 000 bucks up here for a 95. I don't think he's asking too much, specially if up graded.
