more e4od questions

does anyone know of a good web site or have a trouble shooting step guide for diagnoising e4od tranny troubles. My tranny just stop working all of a sudden. We pulled into a parking spot and went into a store, came out started truck, shifted into reverse and nothing. no external leaks, no C.E.L no signs of failure. Both harnesses are plugged in, engine runs great, dropped pan, oil looks new, no metal in pan, no visible damage.Shift color is moving, and park funtion works. any ideas???

thanks
pete

Re: more e4od questions

Even with a complete electrical failure, you will still have reverse and 2nd (those are controlled with a conventional valve body).

Check to make sure the torque converter bolts etc are intact. Past that you are looking at a front pump or hard part failure.

well--by the looks of the two old trucks--if those trannys have never been apart--the shaft in the center support likes to break--and nothing will move----
