More fuel = more power?

Hey yall! For once this isnt a real problem with my truck . I've been around diesels for some time know and I know that more fuel to the combustion chamber means more oomph (technical terms, I know). Anyways, I was curious as to where the governor screw was on the IP, and how far to turn it to get a little more pick up without worrying about damaging my mostly stock rig . Thanks!

Re: More fuel = more power?

Unless you have a turbocharger it won't make enough improvement to notice. Before you turn up the pump, it would be prudent to install a pyrometer to avoid a meltdown. Do a search for turning up the IP for instructions.

Re: More fuel = more power?

Well crud. I'm naturally aspirated. I guess I'll just keep it slow and steady 'till I find a way to teach this old dog new tricks. Thanks anyway.
