need help with wiring 87 truck 93 motor
hey guys I have a 1987 f-250. I got it without a motor in it. I found a 1993 ford f-250 7.3 engine along with tranny and tcase. So to make it easier to put the motor in i took the front clip off of the truck. and just left the harness on the truck. Now i never had a 1987 wiring harness for the glowplugs (engine wiring harness), but whenever i bought the 93 motor it had the engine wiring harness on it. My question is I so far need to figure out how to make the 87 harness adapt to the 93 engine harness (i know there is goign to be soem differences between the 2 harnesses and its not a direct plug in from one harness to the other. Also I need to know how to hook the positive and negitive battery cables up. I know that you hook the negitive battery cable up to the motor and frame. If i remember right you hook the positive wiring harness from the batteries down to the big post on the starter. But what wire goes from the solinoid to the starter? Anyone have a wiring diagam for a 1987 f-250? I need to know all the under the hood wiring and also the battery cable wiring so i can get it so it will turn the motor over to start it. Any help is apriciated.
thanks,
jimmy
