diesel won't start

i have recently inherited a 93 f250 turbo diesel. i was away on vacation for over a month and upon my return i was unable to start the truck. i noticed there were no lights, power, or anything. since i have charged and tested both batteries and now have all lights except the wait to start. i live in south texas so climate is not an problem. am i okay to try and start the truck or is it a glow plug issue?

Sounds like a short in one of the two batteries. Charge them both, disconnect the grounds and check the voltage in each battery. Wait 12 hours and check voltage again. If one is shorting inside the voltage will be lower than the other battery.

well i have taken both batteries out and charged them individually. then i took them to autozone and they both are holding charges. i went back out and my "wait to start" light came on and went off, but as i tried to start her up it cranked but wouldn't turn over. could it still be a battery failure or something else?

How long did the WTS light stay on. How fast did it turn over. You shouldn't be able to "count the revolutions" when the starter is engaged. You also need to be a little more clear cranking and turning over are the same thing in my book. Do you mean the engine will turn over but not START? Or does the starter not engage (turn)
