newbe learning about auto zone IP

The IP from Auto Zone are supplied by Champion. What about this company? I have searched and can't find any thing about it.
What is an arctic version of an IP?. Heated version that SVO burners could use? Also are the two different horepower rated pumps interchageable? where does it state the horsepower rating on the engine? can look the pumps up at atozone.com

Re: newbe learning about auto zone IP

Never heard of an artic version but the HP rating is for High and Low altitude engines.High altitude engines have the fuel turned back sustantually due to the thin air(smoke).

Re: newbe learning about auto zone IP

The 2 horsepower ratings will be low and high altitude. Lower power at high altitude due to thinner air and defueling. Unless you are at high altitude all the time, you want the higher HP IP.

The "artic" version is probably something their supplier makes special. I don't have a clue what could be different.

BTW, please add your basic truck specs to your signature so we know what you are talking about. You can do so through "My Home" button at the top of the page.
