No more Wait to start or water in fule lights

I got the new Injector pump on and had a hard problem starting it. So I pluged in the block heater and about after 30min it started fine. blead the system of air. Truck start fine yesterday and this morning with no wait to start light.

before I had this problem I had a series of clicks with the voltage meter jumping around I could tell that this was comming from the GP controler.

On the way to work this morning I notice that the charge light was flickering on off on off, but the truck cranks and runs fine.

Could my GP controler have gone out?

I have almost got this bugger fixed please help shead some light on this if you can.

Thanks,
Chris.

Re: No more Wait to start or water in fule lights

I'm not going to be much help but have a similar problem.

I had bad glow plugs, truck wouldn't start. Just replaced them all with motorcraft plugs and the number of clicks reduced from 20 to 6, but I still get the clicking!

Hope someone has an answer for you.

Nash I sent you a PM with some info.....visit my gallery for the GP system Pic. Check the wierd little connector on the back firewall to GP controller (pink and black wires) and see if it is connected. If it is check your fuses and bulb.

Depending on how cold the engine is will denote how long GPs stay on, unless some are burned out, then they will shorten the WTS light on time and clicking starts.

Re: No more Wait to start or water in fule lights

im gonna have to watch this link because none of my lights come on when i turn the key on either, i do get the voltage gauge jumping around after a few moments and hear the clicking but no lights have came on since i have owned the truck. I did pull the dash and look at the bulbs, they all looked good. However i did put a test light to the wiring harness of the lights and only one wire was ever hot and it was constantly hot unless the key was turned off. I didnt ever get any of the rest of the wires hot like for just a second for a pre start bulb check. Hmm any thoughts?

Both the WTS and WIF gets it's power from fuse #17. Something to check. Tim

Re: No more Wait to start or water in fule lights

well i changed all the bulbs today even though they all looked good.
Now the WTS light comes on like it should but none of the other lights have come on when i turn on the ignition for a bulb check... should they? there is a engine temp light, a water in fuel light and a fuel filter light. are they supposed to come on for a bulb check?
