no oil

i posted yesterday we got engine noise i pulled valve covers decided to start it and there is only 1 rocker putting out oil like it should what could cause this things look real clean no sludge build up im getting close to tearing it down but i dont want to if i dont have to because if motor is toast its not worth a new motor will have to get newer van thanks in advance

You should try and get an actual oil pressure reading from the sender position (rear center of the block next to the GP controller...
When was the last oil change, might want to check the rear cooler header for parts missing or loose as you remove the filter. What oil and filter do you use...

oil was ghanged 1000 miles ago i always change oil every 3000 dont know about pressure factory guage says good i will look at the cooler i use the powerstroke filter either motorcraft or baldwin

you need to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge atleast to just put on the motor temporarily.

hooked up aftermarket guage 20 psi cold idle now what i geuss i will take rockers off and inspect after a couple of miniutes all rockers were pumping good flow of oil if rockers check out i guess i will look at lifters any advice or input would be greatly appreciated thanks again
