oil dripping from behind the flywheel and not from oil pressure unit ??
I fired up a parts truck 89 7.3 5 speed non turbo F250 today and it began dripping oil from in between the engine and the flywheel or somewhere very close. It isnt coming from the valley pan or the cdr or the oil pressure sending unit because they all look dry.
There is another problem I noticed also. There isnt much oil pressure unless I rev it up a bit. Must be a leak back there but I cant see anything.
I also noticed water in oil but the oil fill cap is missing and there is no telling how much water got in from that.
What could the leak be?
Will I have to remove the tranny to get to it?
