OK, how do you tell if what type of "gears" your truck has?

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I am going to check and see if there is a "transmission cooler" and if not definitely address that as well.

I have just had so many issues with the truck after my neighbor blew the engine and tranny that I become physically ill from worry every time I haul ... I may need to haul to Colorado next week and I'm not looking forward to it.... at all.

get the trans cooler--off ebay--to fit a 99 up powerstroke--its much bigger--and will cool the trans considerably--
