Pillar gauges appearance question??

I saw a post from someone who stated that the VDO Vision gauges seemed to match the factory interior for collor backlight and style the best. Has anyone eles seen this to be true they don't look so hot in the pic on Egauges.com thats why I'm asking.
Also the Banks thermocouple should work with the VDO pyrometer right?

Thanks Marc

Re: Pillar gauges appearance question??

I use Autometer guages since they work so well in the race car. I have a standard black face gauge and used the green light cover to make it match the OEM gauges. The only thing that is different is the Autometers have red pointers and the OEM is white.

I dont know if that will work, but I think most pyros use the same probe/leadwire setup. Maybe someone else has more info on that.

Re: Pillar gauges appearance question??

There are differant thermocouplers. If my memory serves me I believe that there is a "J" and a "K" type thermocoupler. as long as you use the one designed for your pyrometer you should be ok. Too be on the safe side look up the specs on the pyro you have and the one you want to replace it with to make sure that they use the same type.
