please help my interior guages go nuts on me!!

hey guys i have one major problem on my 1990 I have most of it fixed now but one major problem is my interior guages all of a sudden go nuts on me and start waving wildly back and forth from one side of the guage to the otherside. The altinator guage, the oilpressure guage, the water temp guage are the main ones that go nuts on me. also the Rear brake light whenever the guages are going nuts starts blinkign on and off. Any sugestions what to do? I was thinkign maybe a ground problem? please let me know what you guys think. I hope to figure this problem out.

After checking the schematic for the 90 there could well be a required ground not connected..... does the pulsation of the guages happen regularly like the turn/hazard signal rate.

Do you have the good cluster schematic......

yeah it happens like turn signal rate. at times it will stop doing it but then it goes right back to doing it shortly after it stops. it is about turn signal rate or little faster

Re: please help my interior guages go nuts on me!!

Check your schematic for the B2, B7, B10, A3 ground wires connector...

The B2 is the ground for the guages affected and the turn signal left directional signal....... just a hunch but I think things are grounding back through the blinker.

FYI grounds are black wires with what looks like a dot with a arrow point. They may be connected to the body/dash metal as a group or individually so look for a screw hole close by????
